There is an old saying, which fits the village atheist right down to the last shirt button: “Figures don’t lie, but liars figure.” When I see professional would-be point-makers throw out stats and numbers with few if any references, I always remind myself that statistics do not lie, but liars can use statistics. My suspicion rises. Let’s look at some recent claims.

One of the most important prophecies concerning the birth of our Lord is in Isaiah 9:6–7. Christ, eight centuries before His coming, is hailed as the “Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, the everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace,” and it is declared that “the government shall be upon his shoulder.” This is the first great declaration concerning Christ and all government: the ultimate and absolute government of all things shall belong to Christ. The second great declaration is that “[o]f the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end.” Christ, coming into a sinful and rebellious world to establish His dominion as Lord and Savior, will in the face of all enmity and warfare increase His power, government, and peace.“[o]f the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end.”

One of the fruits of America’s culture of libertine sexuality is the horror of sexual assault and abuse of women and girls.  This year their cries broke through the walls that America’s culture shapers in Hollywood, Nashville, New York, and Washington, D.C. have built to protect their open secrets.  The Constitution Party of Georgia has long advocated raising up men and women of integrity who are accountable to God and the people in their public and private lives, and will work to protect women and children from being violated by predators.
