The worldwide mission of Civitan International is to build good citizenship by providing a volunteer organization of clubs dedicated to serving individual and community needs, with an emphasis on helping people with developmental disabilities. One of their most successful fundraising activities involves the sale of Claxton Bakery's fruitcakes, a Georgia original.
Civitan Audrey Goldstein, a long-standing advocate of liberty, had long wondered why there wasn't a political party that actually championed fidelity to the U.S. Constitution. She fancied that such a party would be named the Constitution Party. And then she was intrigued when she found out there was such a party!
Civitan meetings include promoting civic involvement, so she is going to have State Chairman Ricardo Davis present the party at the Druid Hills club meeting in June. Constitution Party supporters in the area are welcome to come, enjoy lunch and connect with folks to discuss issues of importance in our communities. Meal reservations have be made by May 31, contact Mike Biggs at (404) 315-7802 or [email protected] if you're planning on having lunch.
