Meetup At The State Capitol

So you're ready to join us for some citizen lobbying at the State Capitol?  Or visiting your elected officials while they are in Atlanta?  Here are some tips to getting around.

Parking

Public parking is available in several locations surrounding the Capitol. Fees vary, but are generally range from ten to twenty dollars for the entire day. Certain lots may be closed when the legislature is in session.  The following lots are always open to the public if spaces are available:

Please pay close attention to the rate signs located at each public parking lot, as some lots require you to pay when you park. Failure to pay the proper amount for parking or failure to pay at the proper time will likely result in your vehicle being booted and require a $75 fee to have the boot removed.

MARTA

Capitol Hill

The Georgia Building Authority oversees management of the buildings on Capitol Hill.  Click here for a State Government Complex map.  It's a good idea to check the site to see if there are any major events happening at the time you are planning to visit.
