Election Integrity Update - 3/23/2024
With Sine Die for this legislative session coming up on March 28, Garland Favorito gave the last legislative update before the session’s end. He reviewed the election integrity bills that were discussed last week and VoterGA’s legislative plan until the end of the session. HB974, HB976, HB1207 and SB189 would advance six election integrity priorities. The House Bills have passed the Senate Rules committee. Please call the House Rules committee and express our support for SB189. Start with House Rules chair Butch Parrish at (404) 656-5141 if you don't have time to call all the committee members.
Garland also presented his deep dive into the the facts presented towards Fani Willis disqualification (click for slides). On last Saturday’s Election Integrity Update, attorney Catherine Bernard provided an update on the Fani Willis disqualification hearing and the RICO cases against the 18 political indictees perscuted by her office. Given Judge McAfee’s ruling in the disqualification hearing, House Resolution 872 to impeach Fani Willis is more important than ever. Contact your Representative today to urge a vote on HR 872 and share it with your concerned friends.
Bernard also detailed the Catoosa County GOP case where a judge attempted to force the primary ballot qualification of candidates who do not agree with the party’s platform. Visit the GiveSendGo page for chairwoman Joanna Hildreth for updates and to give towards the party’s legal expenses.
In addition, Tamara Favorito updated us on the election integrity legislation to be heard in committee meetings this week. In order to make ballots public records for election auditing purposes this year the language from either SB 122 or HB 426 must be added to an active election-related bill this legislative session. Please act now! The General Assembly is in session until March 28. Click here to contact Georgia's legislative leadership, the Governor, and the Secretary of State to urge them to unseal the ballots!
Jason Boyce wrapped up the program by addressing the threat of “worker housing” legislation to rural communities (click here for his presentation file). On last Saturday’s Statewide Tele-Town Hall we highlighted fellow patriots’ efforts to advance integrity, liberty, and prosperity as articulated in the Constitution Party of Georgia (CP-GA) platform.
Since 2020 there has been increased alarm regarding what students are being taught in public schools and the dismissive attitude of teachers and school administrators towards parental rights. The CP-GA supports educational freedom and desires to amplify the hard work of organizations building God-honoring education options for our posterity. Wayne Morrow with Freedom Project Academy (FPA) and Krisi Brannen with The King’s Academy (TKA) shared how you can help children and grandchildren receive a great educational experience.
FPA leverages technology to provide remote live K-12 instruction in a number of academic tracks, including Summer School options. Wayne highlighted their Partnership Program where they help churches across the country to provide fully accredited, Biblically-based, K-12 online classes that allow every church that sits empty Monday through Friday to start their own school.
TKA in Cherokee County, Georgia is a national leader in the hybrid education model, and is one of the largest private Christian schools in the metro Atlanta area. TKA provides all the benefits of a private school education at a fraction of the cost, while dedicated to parent-partnered, biblically-based, Christian education. Contact TKA if you are interested in enrolling or learning more about how to replicate their successes in your community.
Christina Benjamin shared her pro-life advocacy efforts and interactions with her Senator, showing us an example we can all follow. And Mallory Staples with the Georgia Freedom Caucus provided a update on legislative efforts we need to support as the current session comes to an end. Garland Favorito reviewed HB 974, HB 977 and HB 1207 and discussed VoterGA’s proposed changes to current bills to secure our elections. At the time of the call, these bills were scheduled to be heard by the Senate Ethics Committee on Monday, May 11 but that meeting was canceled.

In addition, Garland discussed VoterGA’s Amicus brief filed for the Georgia Supreme Court in the Jeff Miller case to ban the Dominion voting system. On last Saturday’s Election Integrity Update Garland Favorito presented the complete closing statement presented by Attorney David Oles who represented me in the Curling v Raffensperger case (slides).
Tania Sosa and Garland presented an update on all the election related legislation activity this week (slides). This Thursday, February 29th is Crossover Day, any bills need to passed in their originating chamber by this date. Please call and urge your Representative to support the current version of HB 426 and your Senator to support the current version of SB 221. VoterGA has helpful talking points for you to use when discussing with your legislators.
Then Garland explained why Secretary of State Raffensperger’s call for funding for new technology to audit ballots is really a call for a “fake” audit (see VoterGA press release). On last Saturday’s Election Integrity Update Garland Favorito, Tania Sosa, and I provided a legislative update on election-related legislation we are tracking. David Cross, lead volunteer at the Election Truth in Georgia website, joined us to report on the activities during the State Election Board meeting held last Tuesday.
In addition, we were joined by Tina Peters who gave us an update on her court case. As the elected Mesa County Clerk in Colorado, she made a backup of her county’s Dominion Voting System server, only to stumble across evidence of manipulation in a recent local city council election as well as the 2020 general election.
We wrapped up with a report from Amber Connor, election integrity activist from Fulton County, on the Disqualification Hearing of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

This Saturday’s Tele-town Hall was a prelude to the Constitution Party of Georgia State Convention. Garland Favorito presented an overview of publicly available evidence that my attorney David Oles and I placed on the record during the Curling v. Raffensperger trial. Garland served as my advisor during the four-week trial, attended the trial daily, and shared first-hand knowledge of the evidence. Then Victoria Cruz reported on the election integrity legislation activity this past week (click here for file). We were then joined by U.S. Congressional candidate for Arizona Jeff Zink who spoke about “The Need & Support For The Black Robed Regiment.” That is, why Christian leaders are needed today in each state and county, and why we need to support their efforts.

Last week we had Pastor Matt Trewhella, author of The Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrates (video), speak about the God-given right that a lower ranking civil authority has to refuse the execution of unjust or immoral laws, policies, or court opinions of a higher-ranking civil authority, that is the right to defy tyrants. He graciously agreed to give away a copy of his books “The Doctrine of the Lesser Magistrates” and “The Magdeburg Confession of 1550” to one of our supporters on the call, we picked one from random and the winner is Earl Martin from Ware County!
