Election Integrity Update - 4/5/2025
On last Saturday’s Election Integrity Update, VoterGA reported on the outcome of election integrity legislation after sine die and informed us of the tentative plan to achieve legislation so that Georgia’s election complies with President Trump’s Executive Order and SB189 from 2024.
As one of the plaintiffs in the Curling case, I shared my reaction to Judge Totenberg’s shocking order to dismiss the case after seven years and discussed my legal options. Garland and I revisited highlights of the seven-year-long case and some of the research we were able to put in the court record.

We had an action-packed week for Election Integrity! On last Saturday’s Election Integrity Update, we discussed the impact of President Trump’s Executive Order Preserving and Protecting the Integrity of American Elections. We discussed where all our election integrity objectives stand, reviewing all the relevant legislative activity at the State Capitol, and highlighted the passage of SB 214 in the Senate Ethics Committee, which includes a provision for hand-marked ballots!
Here’s what you can do to help us achieve our election integrity goals before sine die – the end of the legislative session – on April 4th.
CALLS TO ACTION
SB 175 is the election integrity omnibus bill for 2025 in the House with many good provisions, including banning ERIC and making the State Election Board independent of the Secretary of State. It needs to pass to the House Floor for a vote. Please call and email House Rules Committee Chairman Butch Parrish and Vice Chair Rob Leverett, Speaker Jon Burns and Governor Kemp TODAY and ask them to pass SB175 to the House Floor for a vote. SB 214 is our bill for Hand-Marked Paper Ballots for the 2026 election. It unplugs the BMDs and replaces them with Ballot On Demand printers. Please call and email Senate Rules Committee Chairman Matt Brass, Vice Chair Ben Watson, Lieutenant Governor Burt Jones, and Governor Brian Kemp TODAY and ask them to pass SB214 to the Senate Floor for a vote as soon as possible. On last Saturday’s Election Integrity Update, we heard VoterGA's legislative update and Garland discussed the advantages of hand-marked paper ballots, the advantages of publically recorded hand counts, and banning ERIC. In addition, Dr. Rick Richards reviewed his astounding findings on votes cast for ineligible voter registrations in the 2024 election.
The Senate Ethics Committee scheduled a hearing of a substitute to HB397 on Tuesday, March 25th at 1 p.m. in 307 of the Coverdell Office Building. The substitute bill may contain provisions for:

Hand-marked paper ballots,
- Banning ERIC to protect the personal information of voters and drivers from being disclosed to third parties,
- Grants of more authority for the State Election Board to ensure the integrity of our elections,
- Possibly even hand-counting ballots to ensure the security and integrity of the vote count.
We are asking everyone to show up for this meeting and please feel free to wear your VoterGA gear in support of HB397. We will know which provisions will be included in the bill on Tuesday. If you choose to speak, we have included positive, non-partisan talking points that you can click on for Hand Marked Paper Ballots, Hand Counting, and Banning ERIC.
The House Judiciary Non-Civil Committee is scheduled to hear SB244 for recovery of attorney fees and costs in case of prosecutorial misconduct on Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. Click to ask Chairman Tyler Paul Smith to call for a vote on SB244.

Election Integrity Update - 3/15/2025
On last Saturday’s Election Integrity Update, VoterGA presented their legislative proposals and legislative update. State Election Board Member Jan Johnston will present on the SEB budget at the Senate Appropriations Committee on March 18th at 7:30 am in 307 CLOB. Jason Frazier briefed us about Wednesday’s hearing at the Georgia House Governmental Affairs Committee where Jason (click here for slides), Mark Davis, and Rick Richards presented various issues with the list of eligible Georgia voters. And Laura Scharr from South Carolina Safe Elections informed us about Congressman Pete Sessions’ proposed Make Elections Secure Act.

Statewide Tele-Town Hall - 3/8/2025
On last Saturday’s Tele-town Hall, we presented an overview of where this year’s proposed legislation stands after Crossover Day. VoterGA reported on all the election integrity and accountability legislation that crossed over this legislative session.
David DeLugas from ParentsUSA told us about SB 110 to redefine neglect in the juvenile code and their strategy for new laws for parental rights., ParentsUSA is working to amend SB 110 with language from the Brittney Patterson Act (HB 552). DeLugas provided responses to legislators’ questions regarding opposition to HB 552.
Wes Fuller and Nathaniel Darnell gave an update on the Georgia Pre-Natal Equal-Protection Act (HB 441) and the Christians for the Preborn: A Rally for Equal Justice and Protection rally on Monday, March 3rd lobbying to protect all life.
We also heard from attorney Catherine Bernard with an update on Senator Colton Moore’s March 7th arrest warrant hearing against Keith Williams. Williams is Speaker Burns’ legal counsel who committed assault against Senator Moore while preventing him from entering the House Chamber after he was banned from the Joint Session back in January. Because of the lively dialog, we had an Overtime segment where meeting participants collaborated with Bernard on how they could help advance justice for Senator Moore.

Election Integrity Update - 3/1/2025
On last Saturday’s Election Integrity Update, VoterGA presented a major legislative update on the progress of good election integrity bills, including SB 303 to unplug Dominion Voting Systems from Georgia introduced by Colton Moore.

On last Saturday’s Election Integrity Update, the VoterGA team reported on the legislative activity during last week (click for slides). This included Garland’s update on HB 215 the Voter List Integrity Act, our first bill that passed in the Governmental Affairs Subcommittee on Elections.
We watched the recording of Secretary Raffensperger’s budget proposal on February 20th to the House Appropriations Committee where he asked for $66 million to confirm our elections with Georgia law. Then Garland presented VoterGA’s letter to the committee in response and previewed VoterGA’s list of 25 reasons why we must unplug Dominion. This list will be finalized with references and made available this upcoming call so that you have it as a reference.
We also discussed President Trump’s remarks at the Governors Working Session where he exhorted Governor Brian Kemp and others on the need to unplug the voting machines in order to conduct secure elections.

On last Saturday’s Election Integrity Update, we discussed the Secretary of State’s budget presentation where he asked for $15 million to destroy election evidence and Garland Favorito shared his letter to the Appropriations Committee addressing the Secretary’s request.
Tania Sosa updated us on the election integrity legislative activity (click here for slides) and Garland introduced a draft of VoterGA’s new resolution to unplug Georgia’s voting systems. A discussion followed and supporters provided feedback that will be incorporated into the final resolution. Garland will present the revised resolution this Saturday, February 22nd.
Mark Davis joined us to report on the Washington County Superior Court decision to uphold the Georgia House District 128 election results despite a challenge that centered on districting errors where dozens of voters were issued the wrong ballot – errors that exceeded the margin of victory in the election. Mark provided an overview of the case (click here) and the judge’s confounding decision.

On last Saturday’s CP-GA Tele-town Hall, Garland Favorito presented to us all that’s wrong with the Electronic Registration Information Center (ERIC), a nonprofit organization that assists states in supposedly improving the accuracy of their voter rolls, and our efforts to end Georgia’s participation with it with HB 215 (click for slides). Garland also gave us an update on this week’s activity at the Capitol and discussed HB 113, which bans contracts with adversarial countries and the attempt to include language that would ban Georgia’s contract with Dominion Voting Systems. We also heard from Don Webb from Americans for Prosperity-Georgia who informed us about the upcoming February Day citizen lobbying event at the Capitol on February 18th.
Constitution Party 2016 Presidential candidate Darrell Castle discussed how President Trump is advancing key elements of the Constitution Party platform. He described the struggle within the Republican Party since President Nixon to restore constitutional governance, how he and prior Constitution Party candidates called for decisive executive leadership, how President Trump is actually advancing the Constitution Party’s platform, and discussed why this fight must extend down to the county level today.
