Statewide Tele-Town Hall - 11/8/2025

VoterGA_Report_to_House_Study_Committee.jpg

On last Saturday’s Statewide Tele-Town Hall, I asked Denise Sorkness, a witness to financial improprieties by the University of Georgia System Board of Regents,  updated us on the call for fiscal responsibility and accountability in the System.  Her Resolution to mandate reform was passed at this year’s state GOP convention.  Click here for her slides.

Amie Anderson discussed HB 350, a bill to amend the safe haven law to allow for newborn safety devices (baby boxes) as a safe and anonymous way to surrender an otherwise healthy infant whose parents are unable to be cared for the child.

And Garland Favorito presented an overview of VoterGA’s comprehensive report on security recommendations to the House Blue Ribbon Study Committee on Elections released today.  This report provides a factual historical perspective on the state of the administration of Georgia’s elections, as well as recommendations to resolve serious issues.

Use the link below to view the November 8th Statewide Tele-Town Hall if you missed it.  The recording will be available for 14 days after the call.
