2008 State Convention

Ten Commandments Faith & Freedom Rally

The courts gave spoken. Now it’s time for the American people to be heard!

In case after case, federal judges have demonstrated contempt for the Constitution and the God-given inalienable rights of the American people. As a result our courts pervert justice, elevate sodomy as a constitutionally protected right, and ban the Ten Commandments from our classrooms and courtrooms. It's time for Americans to stand together and let Congress know enough is enough! The National Coalition to Restore the Constitution is organizing rallies nationwide on Saturday, November 22nd at 1:00 p.m. to demonstrate support for Judge Roy Moore’s courageous stand. The Georgia rally will be held at the State Capitol on the west side along Washington Street between Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. and Mitchell Street. Citizens from across Georgia will sign a petition to support legislation limiting the jurisdiction of the federal courts on the subject of religion to the clear language and original intent of the 1st Amendment.

Post-Rally Report

The Constitution Party of Georgia proudly stands shoulder to shoulder with Georgia Eagle Forume and other co-sponsors in support of the Ten Commandments Faith and Freedom Rallies. The Lord blessed us with a great day in Atlanta for the rally -- 75 degrees and sunny in mid-November! Over 200 people gathered at the State Capitol to honor Roy Moore's courageous stand. The speakers reminded us of our nation's Christian roots, reviewed the current state of the nation and called us to repentance, motivated us to do our duty to hold our leaders accountable, and spelled out specific actions -- beginning with the NCRC petition -- to turn the tide. For more information contact the National Coalition to Restore the Constitution at 636-861-7052 and donate to the NCRC to help their efforts to: * Promote fidelity to the Constitution and the oath of office as the proper standard for choosing and evaluating the performance of public officials * Build a united coalition of Americans fully committed to restoring the Constitution by requiring fidelity to the oath of office * Increase Constitutional literacy and thereby increase the number of citizens actively advocating for a return to Constitutional government * Energize, organize and mobilize Citizens at the local level to hold their elected representatives accountable to their oath and enforce Constitutional fidelity
